Eugene Cheong joins DDB Asia as creative head

Eugene Cheong has come on board as creative chief officer for Asia. With over 30 years’ experience, 250 Cannes Lions, and 2,500 campaigns to his name, Cheong is one of the most awarded and admired creative heads in the industry.

In his new role as Executive Creative Director of DDB’s regional business, Cheong will work side-by-side with CEO David Tang to accelerate DDB’s crossovers with global markets, including Asian brands launching on the global stage and global brands looking to grow into Asia.

Over 30 years in the industry, he has worked with some of the most coveted brands in the world, including Coco-Cola, Huawei, Singtel, SC Johnson, and Shangri-La. Cheong is named among the world’s 50 best copywriters by the D&AD Copy Book and recognised as The One Show’s most awarded creative in 2016. In 2018, he was appointed to the latter organisation’s International Board.
