DDB Group Singapore Takes Home 13 Awards

DDB Group Singapore emerged tops at this year’s MARKies, taking home the overall top prize and winning coveted awards in key categories including Overall Creative Ideas, Most Creative Content Marketing and Most Creative TV/Video.

The agency picked up 13 awards at the MARKies, including campaigns for iShopChangi, PUB, MCCY, Merdeka Generation, National Youth Council and Workforce Singapore.

On the global stage, the agency also won three Ad Stars awards for its PUB films, ‘Kinship’ and ‘The Frog Prince’. The international advertising festival, which combines creativity with cutting-edge technology, aims to share creative solutions and change the world.

In a challenging year like 2020, DDB Group Singapore has shown its mettle as the top creative agency.

To promote workforce development, we hijacked the visual identity of pop-culture brands and took over ground spaces and social platforms to engage the masses. It proved to be a novel campaign to get people to reconsider their career strategies.

Two cuddly bears captivated the lunchtime working crowd with a surprise screening of our beary-good film on a mega LED screen in the middle of the CBD. This was the first video in an inspirational series that got Singaporeans thinking about their career possibilities.

We paid homage to our Merdeka Generation, whose blood, sweat and tears went into building this country. A gritty and emotional filmlet, ‘Hands That Shaped the Nation’, went viral with 6.54 million views. We also held 28 roadshows that attracted more than 100,000 attendees.
